India Surpasses China in Private Equity Deals

The article reports that India has surpassed China in terms of the value of private equity deals in a 12-month period in 2007. According to Asia PE Research, India led all Asian markets in terms of combined value and number of deals. In 2007, the total value of private equity deals throughout Asia reached $42.2 billion. Indian firms reported that they received $9.9 billion in private equity capital during the year.
