ABSTRACT
The article reports on the $9.5 million investment made by networking giant Cisco in application hosting firm SoonR. Such move is one of Cisco's series of investments in small Web 2.0 software firms. In 2007, it acquired software firms WebEx and Reactivity for about $4 billion. Other investments made by the company include those in China Communications Services and Russian electronic commerce firm Ozon.
