The article reports on the $15 million investment received by enterprise search firm Endeca from Intel and SAP. The deal came after Microsoft acquired rival Fast Search & Transfer for $1.2 billion. Although the company had no immediate need for funding, its main goal is to seek closer ties to business software maker SAP and semiconductor giant Intel.
