ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of online retailer Amazon.com to offer songs from Sony BMG Music Entertainment. The songs will be offered without copy-protection technology or digital rights management. The deal makes Amazon the first retailer to offer songs from major music companies in MP3 format including Sony BMG, EMI and Universal Music Group.
