ABSTRACT
The article provides information about several plant species endemic to Virginia. Among the various species of carices found in the city of Alexandria are Carex arkansana, Carex austrina and carex hirta. Other native plants found growing in Virginia are Cyperus surinamensis, Gamochaeta simplicicaulis and Sagina procumbens.
