This article discusses the various commissions and expert groups that comprise the German library association, Der Deutsche Bibliotheksverband (dbv). It is explained that in 2003, the association developed three commissions (legal, services, and management) and several expert groups including "library and school," "child and youth libraries," and "intercultural library work." The author outlines the future duties and responsibilities of the commissions.
