ABSTRACT
The article reports that U.S. treasury secretary Timothy F. Geithner's issues with filing tax emphasizes the need to simplify that code with a flat tax, where a return can be filed on a single sheet of paper or even a postcard. Taxpayer Advocate Service's annual reports issued to the U.S. Congress has found that Americans spend 7.6 billion hours a year complying with tax-filing requirements, the equivalent of 3.8 million full-time jobs.
