ABSTRACT
This article reports on the renovation project completed by Scottish Water's Turret water treatment works. The project, which is worth £30 million, included a hydraulic turbine which powers the works. The facility, located outside Crieff in Perthshire, Scotland, is more than 1,000 feet up in the mountains and is exposed to extreme weather conditions permanently.
