ABSTRACT
This article reports that San Mateo, California-based startup Jivox has successfully raised $2.7 million in a seed round financing led by venture firm Opus Capital. The aim of Jivox's business model is to capitalize on the growing popularity of online video which is perceived as the next frontier for advertising campaigns. Jivox also promises to drive down the relatively high production cost of video ads while improving the accessibility of the technology that create those ads.
