ABSTRACT
This article reveals the plan of British chip designer ARM to showcase a prototype mobile phone based on Google's Android platform at the 2008 Mobile World Congress wireless show in Barcelona, Spain. Both Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile and Taiwan's High Tech Computer will also offer phones based on the Android software platform this year. It is estimated that Android will used in two percent of smartphones this year, according to research firm Strategy Analytics.
