ABSTRACT
The article discusses the concept of evolution and its conflict with the theories of intelligent design. It states that several scientists questions the concept of biological evolution which encountered problems such as how it woks and what descended from what with nonexistent dispute about the occurrence of evolution. However, the theory of intelligent design entails religious component in which scientists who are also religious conduct studies without bringing God in as part of their theories because scientific inquiries are tested. In addition, American microbiologist Carl Woese proposed a radical rearrangement of the evolutionary tree of life by splitting bacteria and life into groups and kingdoms.
