ABSTRACT
The article profiles General Ann E. Dunwoody, who is considered as the first woman four-star general of the U.S. armed forces. The 33-year military career of Dunwoody includes holding the position of deputy chief of staff position for the Army G-4 or Logistics and commander of the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution from 2002-2004. In addition to her promotion on November 14, 2008, Dunwoody took charge of U.S. Army Material Command at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
