ABSTRACT
The article reports on the $15 million in funding taken by on-demand marketing technology firm Silverprop in 2008. The company said the money will be used to acquire companies with complementary technologies in the hosted services market. The Atlanta, Georgia-based firm, which sells a set of targeted email marketing services used by companies to manage their customer communications, has now raised almost $70 million. The firm tested the acquisition market in 2007 when it acquired lead management company Vtrenz.
