ABSTRACT
The article reports on the $143 million worth of net income of Amazon in April 2008. It is noted that Amazon's sales rose to 37% compared with the same quarter in 2007. Amazon Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jeff Bezos explained that the sales growth is attributed to low prices and millions of in-stock items available for immediate shipment. Moreover, sales of electronics and other merchandise increase by 56% to $1.48 billion in the quarter compared with a year ago.
