ABSTRACT
This article reports that WeMix, a social networking site, opened for business after an extended period in test mode. Founded by Matt Apfel, the site promises aspiring musicians who build an online fan base something more--star collaboration and a record deal. Still, WeMix faces competition from an array of players including Indaba Music and Ourstage.
