ABSTRACT
The article announces that cable operator Cablevision will acquire newspaper "Newsday" through an arrangement with the Tribune Co. The operator expects "Newsday" to exploit print/television (TV)/online synergies in advertising, content and customer relationship. A list of the assets owned by "Newsday" is presented. It notes that some of the potential synergies between Cablevision and "Newsday" could involve "Newsday" advertisement insertions on cable TV, and making "Newsday's" content available to the TV audience.
