ABSTRACT
This article reports on the expansion of Intel's venture capital unit into the Chinese market. On April 2, 2008, Intel Capital announced the launch of Intel Capital China Technology Fund II. Holfast Online Technology and Newauto Technology are the initial investments revealed by the new fund, while Neusoft Group, Supcon Group and A8 Music are some of the companies backed by Intel Capital's original fund. Arvind Sodhani of Intel Capital says the venture capital unit has invested in over 70 companies across China and Hong Kong.
