ABSTRACT
The article provides information on a program started by the nursing staff at 274-licensed-bed Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois that offers employees therapeutic services. According to Constance D. Hill, director of the Pulmonary, Allergy, Transitional Care Unit at the hospital, they are trying to create opportunities of respite for the staff so that they have time to rejuvenate. She said that by the time most of their nurses complete their shift, they are doing good just to drive home or prepare for their next day.
