ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Microsoft to acquire mobile data backup and restore application specialist MobiComp. MobiComp develops application that assists mobile operators and users making personal data backups. Upon completion of the acquisition, Microsoft will add MobiComp to its Mobile Communications Business. In related news, Nokia announced its plan to acquire location-aware mobile application developer Plazes.
