ABSTRACT
The article highlights the views of Barry Richards, wireless analyst at Paradigm Capital, on the financial performance of smartphone manufacturer Research In Motion (RIM) in the first quarter of 2008. RIM posted a 107 percent increase in its revenue for the quarter and a 115 percent increase in earnings per share. However, the company's stock price at Nasdaq declined due, according to Richards, to its success and the increasing Wall Street expectation.
