ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) to reduce its manufacturing output and to consolidate fabrications in Massachusetts in its efforts to avoid inventory buildup. The company has resolved to cut its U.S. headcount by about 175 employees and has also been doing transitions in its fabrication in Limerick, Ireland. The firm announced its manufacturing changes while reporting its financial performance for the first quarter in 2009.
