ABSTRACT
The article reports that the Research in Motion's (RIM) BlackBerry Bold smartphone would be launched in the U.S. on October 2, 2008. The company has been postponing the release of its first third-generation (3G) phone for months. RIM first announced the launch of the BlackBerry Bold in July to compete with Apple's iPhone 3G but it was further postponed due to battery life issues and overheating problems.
