ABSTRACT
The article reports on a manifesto issued by religious leaders addressing the threat of climate change at the Interfaith Summit held in Uppsala, Sweden on November 28-29, 2008. Scriptures about the care for the earth from various religions were also cited at the event. Sections of the manifesto include ethical and spiritual aspects of climate change, its effects on water and food supplies and health and equity between the poor and the rich on emission. It aims to foster communication of its vision to governments and international organizations.
