ABSTRACT
The article reports on the total sales posted by Apple for its iPhone 3G in July 2008. The company claimed that it sold a total of 1 million iPhone 3Gs during the weekend at its Apple Stores. Tavis McCourt, a Morgan Keegan analyst, estimated that 30 percent or more of those waiting in line at the Apple Store in Nashville were upgrading from an older iPhone. The company also reported that its App Store as delivered over 10 million downloads of applications to users of its iPod touch and iPhones since launch.
