ABSTRACT
This article reports on the decision by Microsoft to acquire the search engine company Powerset in 2009. According to Microsoft, Powerset is a great team with a wide range of experience from other search engines and research organizations. The company said that Powerset will fit in with its efforts in natural language technologies at Microsoft Research.
