ABSTRACT
The article features Her Majesty's Australian Ship (HMAS) Farncom submarine. HMAS Farncomb has a crew of 55, nine officers and 46 crew. The submarine works in three parts. The front houses the torpedoes and missiles. The middle bit is crew quarters, the mess, the control room and the spying room. The back third's the engines, propeller, air generators, and the desal plant that provides the water. An interview with commander Tom Phillips is presented.
