ABSTRACT
This article looks at developments in the global stock market as of September 11, 2008. Internet companies and selected financial institutions contributed to U.S. stock markets' rebound. The global credit crisis continue to impact European and Asian markets. The Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded a 1.3 percent gain or added 141 points, while Nasdaq posted a 1.2 percent increase. In Europe, the German DAX posted a 1.1 percent drop. Central bankers across the globe injected funds into banking systems to ensure that markets remained liquid.
