ABSTRACT
The article reveals that peer-to-peer company BitTorrent has successfully raised $17 million in a third round funding deal led by DAG Ventures. Other investors involved in the deal are DCM and Accel Partners. The company has been trying to rebuild its brand, as well as improve its credibility to a name associated with illegal online file sharing. Meanwhile, BitTorrest has teamed up with Aeria Game and IAHGames to use the peer-to-peer technology to stream their multiplayer online games to customers.
