ABSTRACT
The article discusses the use of micro-inverters in solar systems to convert power generated by solar cells into usable electricity and optimize a system's efficiency. Enphase Energy reported that it has raised $15 million in a new round of funding to develop and promote micro-inverters. The company claims that its micro-inverters can increase energy harvest by up to 25 percent. It adds that the micro-inverters can transmit data about their performance to a communications gateway using broadband Internet connection.
