ABSTRACT
The article offers information on a wind farm construction project awarded to Deepwater Wind. Deepwater Wind was selected to construct an off-shore wind farm off Rhode Island. The project is expected to cost over $1 billion, with funding coming from private investment sources. The Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council and University of Rhode Island's Graduate School of Oceanography are assisting Deepwater in finding the best location for the windfarm.
