ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the slowdown in the shipments of air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipments in the U.S. in 2008. According to the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute, the U.S. factory shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps reported a downfall of 33% for November 2008. The shipments of heat pump dropped by 21% in November 2008 compared to November 2007. The shipments of oil-fired furnace, water heaters, room heaters also declined.
