ABSTRACT
The article reports on the importance of fire-suppression system in earning Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) credits in the U.S. It indicates that fire protection is essential in building design and construction. Moreover, it also notes that it is important to distinguish the critical physical areas of building operation and function in order to choose the appropriate fire-protection system.
