The article focuses on the development of the Steely Library of Northern Kentucky University (NKU) in Highland Heights, Kentucky through its Blackboard (Bb), the university's course management system, which aims at upgrading the existing programs and creating new services. It notes that the Steely Library effectively supports classroom instruction during the times of financial hardships in the U.S. Meanwhile, discussions on the three independent areas in the Steely Library which are incorporated to the features of Bb: namely My Library tab, eReserves and embedded librarian utilizing the Bb system are presented.
