ABSTRACT
The article discusses the design and construction of the 64-foot Makaira vessel by Applied Concepts Unleashed (ACU). Integration of its design, systems, and construction is at the center of this vessel. It is noted that, while a lot of new technology was utilized in this build, like resin infusion, some things were done the old-fashioned way. Marine Concepts was hired to build molds for some of the more intricate components.
