ABSTRACT
This article announces the release of Google Earth for the iPhone and iPod Touch by Google in a bid to dominate the global mobile Internet market. The search near me function of the application uses iPhone's global-positioning system to let users find pizza in San Francisco, California or bistros in Paris, France. In addition, users in moving vehicles can monitor their progress by watching the movement of a dot on Google Earth.
