ABSTRACT
The article reports on the launch of the Recession Survival Kit software by the Mountain View, California-based enterprise software company Adaptive Planning. The launch of the software is timed for the current bleak economic outlook. The company is marketing the package to executives desperate to get a handle on their cash positions and reconfigure their financial plans in rocky economic times. According to company chief executive William Soward, in a recession, normal planning cycles are eliminated and rapid scenario analysis becomes essential.
