Cobalt Biofuels Grabs $25M

The article reports that Cobalt Biofuels has raised $25 million in a third round of funding led by LSP and Pinnacle Ventures. The funding will be used to build a 30,000- to 60,000-gallon-per-year pilot plant in 2010 in the San Francisco Bay Area, said Chief Financial Officer Steven Shevick. Other investors in Cobalt's latest funding round included Vantage Point Venture Partners, The Malaysian Life Sciences Capital Fund, and Ventures.
