France's Digital Master Plan Unveiled

Eric Besson, secretary of state for the development of the digital economy, released the key points of the master plan in October 2008. He said that the plan is designed to be an accelerator of economic growth. The master plan include speeding up extension of broadband access to 100 percent of the population by 2010, and transforming the entire country to digital television (TV) by 2011.
