ABSTRACT
The article discusses the report of Virtual Worlds Management on the finance of virtual worlds as of the third quarter of 2008. The report shows that venture capital and media firms poured over $148.5 million into virtual worlds. Christopher Sherman, executive director at Virtual Worlds Management, believes that despite difficult economic situation, consumers still want recreation. The company is confident about the future of socializing, entertainment, and games.
