ABSTRACT
The article reports on the acquisition of venture-backed LeftHand Networks by Hewlett-Packard (HP) for about $360 million. The deal, which follows the 2007 acquisition of storage software maker Polyserve, helps HP to fill its data storage product line for mid-size companies. LeftHand Networks was supported by venture capital funds such as Boulder Ventures, Sequel Venture Partners and Ironside Ventures.
