ABSTRACT
The article reports on an announcement made by Coulomb Technologies in January 2009 that it raised $3.75 million in a first round of venture funding led by Estag Capital. The funding will help the Campbell, California-based startup continue research and development as well as expand the introduction of its charging stations for electric cars. The company predicts that as electric vehicles become more popular in coming years, drivers will need more places to recharge their cars' drained batteries.
