The article focuses on Greener World Media's report "State of Green Business 2009," which sought to measure the environmental impact of corporate environmental policies and practices. The report showed that despite the popularity of going green, U.S. companies are not making sufficient progress on such issues as climate change, air quality, and a possible water shortage. Among the 20 environmental categories studied, the U.S. was only efficient in six of them, including clean-technology investments, energy efficiency, and green jobs.
