ABSTRACT
This article reports that the poor sales performance of video game publishing firm Electronic Arts (EA) has led to a reduced outlook for the 2009 fiscal year. It posted a net loss of $641 million on revenue of $1.65 billion during the third quarter of 2008. According to analysts' predictions, EA will earn $179 million on revenue of $1.74 billion. EA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Riccitiello says they are disappointed with their holiday quarter and fiscal year performance. It has scaled down its full-year revenue projections to $4.3 billion.
