ABSTRACT
The article reports on the use of woodworking as a fundraising tool by Harry Rosenberg, founding president of the University of Southern Nevada in Henderson, Nevada. His hand-made wooden products, which include bowls, mortar-and-pestle sets and wine stoppers, have been sold to raise about $12,000 in scholarship money for the students in the past years. His works were sold via silent auctions.
