ABSTRACT
The article presents updates on racing championships in New Zealand. The tradition of car and motorbike racing in the South was broken when New Zealand secured a round of the A1GP championship for Taupo in late January 2009. Following the said event, the car championships resumed at Timaru with the fourth round of the BNT V8 and Super Trucks.
