ABSTRACT
The article discusses a study on dental enamel solubility when exposed to buffered solutions. Researchers controlled the area of the enamel that was exposed to the acidic solutions and were careful to maintain a consistent pH level in their experiments. It was found that saliva is able to dissolve enamel if the levels of phosphorus and calcium are not consistent.
