The Crosslinking Agent Ethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate Content of the Currently Available Acrylic Denture Base Resins

This article discusses the results of a research study conducted to determine the presence of ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDM) in acrylic denture base resins. Seven monomers were examined using gas-liquid chromatography and infrared analysis. The study concludes that the monomers consist mostly of methyl methacrylate.
