The article reports on the financial and market performance of software services industry which generated revenues of USD 110.9 billion in China in 2008. It mentions that the country's application software products produced USD 46.4 billion, contributing to about 41.8 percent to the total revenue. Moreover, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) reveals that the software service segment gained USD 21.3 billion in revenues.
