ABSTRACT
This article discusses the results of a histological research study conducted to determine the source of a ciliated epithelium connected to a tooth of unknown origin with an attached granuloma. It is hypothesized that the squamous epithelium examined originated from the dental enamel present in the alveolar periosteum.

Introduction: Central giant cell granuloma (CGCG) accounts for less than 7% of all lesions of the jaw. It occurs more commonly in the anterior mandible compared to the maxilla. Females have 2 to 3 times higher incidence. Children and young adults are affected the most. Materials and methods: The...

Background/Aim. It has been demonstrated that lymphocytes, plasma cells, macrophages and neutrophil granulocytes represent the predominant cells of the inflammatory lesion of the dental granulomas.
