The article presents information on the development of the Superbus project funded by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works in the Netherlands. The concept of the vehicle was formulated by aerospace engineer and physicist Wubbo Ockels from the University of Technology in Delft. The design parameters of the vehicle indicates the use of high-performance composite materials to minimize weight, maximize design flexibility and provide the end-of-life recyclability. The vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding was used to fabricate parts in the vehicle.
